If you would like your child to join 2nd Ickenham (URC) Beavers, Cubs or Scouts, please complete your details in the form below. By doing so, your information will be stored in Online Scout Manager, the tool we use to manage our membership.
Scouting in Ickenham is run entirely by volunteers, without which the groups would cease to function. Please do consider helping to keep Scouts going by volunteering.
How does the waiting list work?
Scouting is popular, but our ability to offer places in Beavers, Cubs and Scouts is severely limited by the number of regular adult helpers we have. Usually your child will have to join a waiting list. We give priority to:
- Young people whose parents/carers become regular helpers. This could be in your child’s section, or in another age group, as you prefer.
- Young people who don’t already belong to another Scout group.
- Young people who are already part of the 2nd Ickenham Scout Group, for example a Beaver moving up to Cubs.
Once you’re on the waiting list, you’ll be notified when a space has become available for you. The waiting list usually only changes at the end of a term/beginning of the next term, which is when our young people move on and free up spaces. But you may have to wait longer than a term for a space to become available.
