After decades of occupying a draughty wooden pre-war building, and years of hard work fundraising and lobbying and chasing, we now have a lovely new Scout hall. It was opened in September 2025 after nearly two years of building work.
Outside of Scouting times, we’re pleased to be able to offer it out for rent to community-based groups, for example singing or art classes, sports or dance groups, and other types of classes or sessions that bring local people together.
Sorry, we don’t currently have the ability to hire out our hall for non-community events like birthday parties.

The hall comes with:
- Light and bright modern design with high ceilings and neutral colours
- Excellent sound quality with additional soundproofing
- Tables and chairs for approx 60 people
- Kitchen facilities with kettle, hob and oven, microwave, fridge and freezer
- Outside space including concrete and grassy areas.
